Inaugural Advisory Board

Modus Outcomes inaugural Advisory Board meeting took place in Letchworth Garden City (UK) October 17-18, 2016. We convened with the members of the Advisory Board: Prof. John Browne, Dr. William Fisher, Dr. Anna Mayhew, Prof. Leslie Pendrill, and Dr. Jack Stenner. In addition, we had the pleasure to have Dr. Susan Bartlett (McGill University, Canada), and Ashley Slagle (Aspen Consulting) as our special guests for this meeting.

Our Advisory Board members provided invaluable feedback on the concept-driven measurement approach that we use in our projects, in addition to insightful suggestions on the way forward towards stronger measurement in healthcare. The topics under discussion included clinical application and meaning, clinical trial methodology, insights for education research, regulatory context, metrology and metrological standards.

Interactive workshops on qualitative research, Rasch measurement theory, and statistical analysis in clinical research formed the basis for lively interaction between the Modus Outcomes Global Team and the advisory board members.

The high-level scientific discussions held during the meeting will undoubtedly enrich our concept-driven measurement solutions to address our client needs and supports our ultimate goal of raising the scientific standards of measurement for high stakes decision making in healthcare.

We are deeply thankful to the members of our advisory board and our special guests for the time they took for us and their enthusiasm for sharing their knowledge!
