William Fisher
William P. Fisher, Jr., PhD, transforms traditional ideas about measurement, standards, and data quality into new and exciting possibilities for enhanced communication.
Across the range of positions he's held, Dr Fisher has provided leadership in realizing the value of new technical opportunities relating to risk management and quality improvement.
He guides clients on new product development, sets policy for integration of existing product lines based on mathematical principles, and advises IT, marketing, and clients on scientific methodologies, as well as presenting and publishing scientific results in technical journals and international meetings, and serving on editorial and dissertation committees.
After completing the University of Chicago's Social Sciences Divisional Master's degree in 1984, Dr. Fisher was a Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellow while earning a PhD in Chicago’s Department of Education in 1988, concentrating in Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistical Analysis (MESA).
In 2010, Dr Fisher completed a postdoctoral program certifying him as a qualified business educator in the Tulane University Freeman School of Business, and has been an independent consultant (LivingCapitalMetrics.com) since 2008.
He was formerly Research Professor in the LSU New Orleans School of Medicine, Chief Science Officer with Avatar International, and, since 2011, has been a research associate with the University of California, Berkeley.
