Lindsay Ayearst
Lindsay is an expert in psychological science, with over 15 years of experience in test development, including paper-based and digitally administered clinical outcomes assessments and performance-based measures in clinical, education, and public safety domains. As an expert in the development and utilization of patient-reported outcomes and an advocate for the critical role of co-design and collaboration with patients, she champions the integration of patient voice at every stage of PRO development, from conceptualization to validation, ensuring measures are not only scientifically sound, but also meaningful to patients’ lived experience.
She has worked in both academia and industry, including pharma, midsized companies, and small startups, where she acted as a trusted and strategic advisor to C-suite executives and board members, among other stakeholders, providing data-based insights that drive decision making. She also has experience working with regulators on early-stage projects via the Q-sub process and is knowledgeable in various regulatory guidelines and pathways for Software as a Medical Device for both clinical decision support software and digital therapeutics. Previously the Chief Scientific Officer at a wearable digital mental health startup company, she has a keen interest in leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to improve evaluation and treatment leading to achieving the goal of personalized care.
Lindsay holds a PhD in Psychology from York University (Toronto, Canada) and sits on the editorial board of several scientific journals including, Assessment, Psychological Assessment, Journal of Personality Assessment, Journal of Attention Disorders, and Developmental Neuropsychology.
